Fun Fact/Favorite Hobby: I fell in love with horses and horseback riding at the age of 8 years old, was on the University of Connecticut Equestrian team- IHSA for 4 years, and currently go riding at least once a week, I have been skydiving (for the first and last time), and I have assisted with oral surgery on a Siberian tiger and Spectacled Bear!

Funniest Client Experience: One I can share was early in my career a young SF 5 lb Miniature Pincher came in for not acting herself. Upon further investigation, the client confessed while she was cooking she left her dog for 2 minutes and when she returned, found her on the kitchen table eating the entirety of the bones from a rotisserie chicken. I couldn’t believe such a small dog devoured all of these bones and thankfully recovered without any complications!

Advice for new grads: There will be a steep learning curve in the beginning of any new venture; this is normal. Establishing healthy habits, boundaries, and a strong support system (in and out of work) early on will help you to overcome any challenges you may face. Believe in yourself, trust your gut, and realize no one is “perfect”, life is a marathon, not a sprint, and self-compassion is key.
